None of that is difficult. It is just time, and on a wedding day time is the one thing nobody has spare. Having worked The Sinclair of Skaneateles before means that hour is already spent, and it was spent on a day that was not yours.
I arrive two and a half to three hours early regardless. At a venue I already know, that margin goes toward testing and detail rather than orientation.
Ceremony sound runs through the house system
The Sinclair owns the ceremony audio and enforces its own volume limit. Your ceremony music still comes from me, routed through their system rather than mine. Working inside a house system is routine, and it is worth knowing in advance rather than on the day.
The dance floor is under glass
The booth and dance floor sit on the left side of the room beneath a glass overhang, almost greenhouse-like. Lit up after dark it is the best-looking part of the building, and it is where the night lands.
Dinner on one side, bar on the other
Dinner is set to the right of the booth, with the bar area beyond it, which is also where a buffet gets laid out. Guests move between the two through the evening, and the pacing gets built around that rather than against it.
Ceremony seating is provided
The outdoor ceremony space has the venue's own benches, so there is no separate chair rental to arrange. One less line on your budget and one less delivery on your timeline.

Who handles the ceremony sound at The Sinclair?
The venue does. They own the ceremony audio equipment and it runs on their system. Your music still comes from me, played through their setup, which lets them guarantee the volume stays inside their limit. It changes nothing about your song choices or how the ceremony is cued.
Is there a volume limit?
Yes, and the venue enforces it, which is why ceremony audio runs through their system. It is a good thing to know early: when there is a ceiling on volume, the energy of the night has to be built through pacing and musical progression rather than by turning things up. That is how I work regardless.
Where does the dancing happen?
On the left side of the room, under the glass overhang, with the booth alongside it. Dinner is set to the right and the bar area sits beyond that. The glass section is genuinely the nicest part of the venue once it is dark.
Do we need to rent chairs for the ceremony?
No. The outdoor ceremony space uses the venue's own benches, so seating is already handled.
Is a buffet workable here?
Yes. Buffets are set out in the bar area rather than the dinner room, so guests move through that space to eat. Worth accounting for in the timeline, because service pace affects when the floor opens.
Do you charge extra to travel to Skaneateles?
No. Standard travel extends up to 180 miles from the Finger Lakes with no travel fee. Destination events beyond that are accepted, with travel arranged per event.
