It also means your day will not happen in one room. Every venue I work in this stretch splits it: a ceremony somewhere outdoors, cocktail hour somewhere else, then dinner and dancing in a third or fourth place. That is normal here rather than unusual, and each move needs sound and a few minutes that belong in the timeline rather than being absorbed on the day.
And once you are away from the building, power stops being a given. At Flatt Rock there is none on the far side of the dinner tent, so I bring a 2000-watt power station that also runs as a UPS. It is the sort of thing nobody thinks to ask a venue and everybody notices if it goes wrong.
